I have submitted my designs to the printer and shortly afterwards I have received an email and a phone call — the whole of my Rethink concept was well received. I was acknowledged it was wonderfully different than all other approaches they have got, and all four cards were enlisted in the official Christmas Card Catalogue. For an artist, and also a post-modern humanist, this means a lot. There was absolutely no monetary gain from all this wonderful exercise, but a profound sensation tingling inside my thoughts: it takes so little sometimes to achieve so plenty. We only must dare and make the first step. Someone’s spark of creativity that glitters in sleepless nights may create a world of difference to a child fighting with cancer.
If the situation was reversed, I’d surely love to know some anonymous artist out there has done something different, off the course of the everyday working routine to make a difference in my favour. That is how we become more human, that is how we learn what we are really capable of, that is how a whole experience of life becomes more meaningful.
