Leica has made plenty of exquisite cameras so far, including the latest (and highly admired) Leica M9, but I assure you, this Leica à la carte is perhaps the most delicious one ever made! The buttery texture of the Leica biscuit melts in your mouth.
Tastes beautifully when shared with a family gathered during the festive season, accompanied with a hot cup of tea, in a house surrounded with a snow of a lifetime of memories filled with tracks of stories to share and remember.

Painting With Light

Painting with light is more demanding and takes more time than simply pointing a camera towards your subject, locking-into-focus (preferably with some amazing new autofucusing technology that takes all the hints of creative thinking away from us), and then firing away.
Painting with light twists, twirls and heightens your understanding of a good focus point with several additional creative points of its own.

Camera design should serve its purpose and clearly communicate that purpose. It’s evident by analysing the market at the moment that few of today’s camera manufacturers have slightly less than a cloudy idea how to proceed further, or a clear goal knowing what to do next. They all cannibalise their own products and confuse customers.

In addition to my previous photo camera bag idea named the ‘Street Photographer’, I’ve decided to make one more version of it. However, this time I’ve clearly aimed for the smallest of all camera systems: EVIL (Electronic Viewfinder Interchangeable Lenses) and rangefinder cameras only. Hasta la vista DSLRs, and see ya some other time …

When Competitions Go Wonky: The Case of Kata Dream Bag Challenge

Dream Bag Challege organised by Kata (camera bags manufacturer) falls into the category of poorly organised design competitions. This competition certainly has some big flaws that allow for misinterpretation of rules, design submissions, voting procedure, prize submissions, you name it. It was misleadingly advertised and when examined carefully, it may as well create suspicions and doubts about the integrity and honesty of the Kata brand. I’ll try to clarify why is that so.

Designing A Dream Camera Bag

As a big street photography fan and an owner of a small Leica camera and a wonderful compact DSLR from Pentax, I often found myself in a dilemma — what is the best way to take my gear and go out, to enjoy unobtrusive street photography? Recently I have rediscovered the old truth: if you want to do something right, you have to do it yourself. So I have decided to design my own camera bag and also entered Kata Dream Bag competition.
